Through survey data analysis, Alija identified four unmet needs of scholars and alumnae to inform the foundation's strategic planning initiatives with the Board of Directors.

To center the scholars directly impacted by the fund, Alija developed scholar personas to lead with women's lived expertise to support the data storytelling of the opportunities and barriers for low-income women to successfully complete their higher education degrees.

The report along with three executive summaries for the foundation's key stakeholder groups has been used to advance strategic planning initiatives and fundraise for further support to address the unmet needs of scholars and alumnae.
